KAREN SAXE
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Over Twenty Years Experience Helping Children Grow
Titus Tutors was founded by Karen Saxe who has over twenty years of experience as a certified Connecticut and Massachusetts teacher. She received a BA in Elementary Education from Simmons University and a MA Education with a concentration in Reading and Language Arts from the University of Saint Joseph.
Karen has experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students. She has held a variety of positions while at Rumsey Hall, including lead third-grade teacher, directing the Lower School Afternoon Enrichment Program, teaching Language Skills, and is currently English Department Chair for grades 6-9. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is head of the seventh and eighth-grade girls dorm and coaches soccer and tennis. Karen has extensive training and experience in Orton Gillingham, the Wilson Reading System, and was an early adopter of the distance learning format in ESL (English as a Second Language) for students around the world.

ROXANNE KRAFT
DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
Certified Special Educator
Roxanne Kraft is a Certified Special Educator with over 35 years of experience working with students in grades K-5; and ages 19-21 (Transition Program). She attended Western Michigan University and Southern Connecticut State University; receiving a BS in Special Education and an MS in Learning Disabilities.
Roxanne has extensive training and experience in teaching Multisensory Reading to students with reading difficulties, including those identified with Reading Disabilities/Dyslexia. She has extensive skills knowledge/training working with students with learning challenges ranging from mild to severe, in all content areas, both teaching and conducting Multidisciplinary Evaluations.
Roxanne currently works in the New Milford Public School system where she is well-known for her experience and expertise working with students showing compassion and dedication. She was chosen by parents and peers to receive the honor of being New Milford Teacher of the Year.
She is currently pursuing her Mindful Teacher Certification with the Mindful Schools. Practicing Mindfulness and teaching others is something she is passionate about. Mindfulness is paying attention to our experiences in a way that allows us to respond rather than react. It is the quality of inner-stillness that is always available, even when our life or circumstance feels out of our control and chaotic.

NICOLE BUONO
Director of Homeschool Resources and Support
Nicole Buono earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary’s University where she was president of the University’s French Club and was actively involved with Habitat for Humanity. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Special Education from Quinnipiac University. She has taught elementary and middle school-aged children, homeschools her four children, and tutors privately. After her first child received an autism diagnosis in 2015, Nicole had to learn how to navigate the education realm in a new way. Having a child with special needs helped Nicole to realize the vast lack of resources in the area for children and families in need of support. Nicole is passionate about helping other families get the support they need for their children and themselves. Her personal and professional experiences have equipped her with the knowledge and passion to change the educational experience for others.
KRISTIN EATON
Passionate About Teaching
Kristin Eaton has been an early childhood and elementary educator for over 20 years. She taught preschool in West Hartford and Simsbury, CT and most recently served as a long-term substitute teacher in the Lower School at Rumsey Hall School. She holds a BA in Elementary Education from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD and an MA in Elementary Reading and Language from Saint Joseph University in West Hartford, CT. She holds a Connecticut teaching certificate in Elementary Education.
Kristin is passionate about teaching and has a reputation as a dynamic instructor – the “one to have.” She has a talent for providing a positive, nurturing environment that promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. Her proven ability to know each child as an individual and differentiate lessons to meet specific needs makes her an asset to the Titus Tutors team.


PETER LINN
Instilling the Love of Learning
Peter focuses on students in 5th -9th grade. Peter's passion is working with children to better understand their learning style and helping them meet their goals.
Peter is a graduate of Rumsey Hall School and Taft. He earned his BA in English from Saint Michael’s College and will receive a MA in English from Arizona State in English.
STACIE DEGRAZIA
Math & Reading
Stacie DeGrazia works with students to strengthen both their confidence and knowledge in math and reading. She has been an assistant teacher since 2016 at Rumsey Hall School and has focused on supporting reading in math in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. This coming year, she has been promoted to be a lead teacher for pre-algebra and algebra for 6-9th graders.
She received her Bachelor's degree from Assumption College and attended Canterbury School and Rumsey Hall School.
